Plasterboard Ceilings

Plasterboard started to be used for ceilings around the mid 1960s. Plasterboard is basically Gypsum plaster, sandwiched between two sheets of paper. Two coats of finishing plaster are applied and flattened out to a smooth finish, leaving the surface ready for decorating.
