Block Paving

Request quote Block Paving

Block paving has been THE growth area in the UK Paving Industry over the last 10-15 years. Mass production techniques have reduced the prices of manufactured blocks to a reasonable level, and made this type of paving affordable to most projects. In fact, concrete block paving costs only £3-6 per m² more than plain flags/slabs, when laid to a domestic driveway. Brick or Block paving can be used anywhere. They look great on drives and will provide many years of service. They can be used to great effect as paths, or patios, or mixed with other paving types to create a unique feature. They are a viable alternative to the more traditional asphalt or macadam surfacing for estate roads, and look a lot better than tarmac or plain concrete. They are even being used in areas of exceptional loads, such as airport taxi-ways, docks and freight yards.

Crazy Paving & Slabbing

Request quote Crazy Paving & Slabbing

The term "crazy paving" refers to the 'crazed' appearance of the finished surface. It is a cheap or easy form of paving. Far too often, it is undertaken as an allegedly simple alternative to more traditional paving, or because the stone itself is cheaper than rectangular units, yet, from a contractor's point of view, it costs more in terms of labour to lay a given area of crazy paving than it does for alternative types of paving. Its trade mark look is broken bits and pieces.

Gravel

Request quote Gravel

Gravel refers to small stones, generally 5-30mm in diameter, that may be angular or rounded. Angular gravels are usually sourced from quarries, a by-product of the crushing processes, whereas rounded gravels are from a fluvial source, such as an old river bed, beaches, and channel dredging. Gravels can be of almost any colour, depending on the parent rock type, or even a multi-coloured blend.

Paving & driveways - Pattern Imprinted

Request quote Paving & driveways - Pattern Imprinted

Pattern imprinted concrete, as it is known, works by stamping moulds and adding colours into in-situ concrete. The system combines colour surface hardeners, release agents and acrylic sealers with three-dimensional texturing tools create remarkable designs. Pattern imprinted concrete can be designed to re-create many affects such as slate, flags, cobbles, granite and block pavers. But by using imagination and combining several patterns and colours, many special effects or individual creations can be created. Pattern imprinted concrete is by far the most superior paving system on the market place and with minimal maintenance will last a lifetime.

Pavements & driveways - Tarmacadam - Asphalt

Request quote Pavements & driveways - Tarmacadam - Asphalt

Smooth finished coloured tarmac creates a modern looking and practical drive surface, ideal to meet the requirements of any home. Tarmac is suitable for areas to be trafficked by vehicles, such as drives and forecourts, and can be used for paths. Tarmac, properly referred to as bituminous macadam or "Bitmac" for brevity, is often thought to be the cheapest method of surfacing a driveway or forecourt.
