Underfloor heating is fast becoming the most popular form of heating. In most forms it is inexpensive to install, economical to run, there is no maintenance and above all the heat distribution is total. It is invisible in so much as there are no radiators or heaters showing. It can be installed under almost every floor type, wood, tile and laminate making it ideal for refurbishment projects. Even laid on top of an existing floor and covered with tiles the floor height is raised no more than 20mm.

Work associated with the provision of water supply pipework including that used for fire fighting; all forms of space heating, gas installation, sanitary appliances, discharge pipework and drainage; the weathering of structures and buildings. Some plumbers work as 'wet only plumbers', dealing with piped systems for water such as installing radiators, bathroom suites and showers. Others decide to take additional plumbing courses and branch out into the gas trade so they can install gas central heating systems as well, so they must be CORGI registered.
