Perks of wooden fencing include extra property protection and visual appeal. By having a fence set up, it becomes tougher for burglars to get into your property and garden. Be sure to select a design which will look great as well, particularly if for property purposes.

The fitting of a wooden fence takes less than one day to carry out, depending on size of area you'd like guarded.

Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge is a market community and visitor hub in the South Hams area of Devon, England, with a population of 6,116 at the 2011 census. Two selecting wards bear the name of Kingsbridge (East & North). Their consolidated population at the above census was 4,381. It is located at the north end of the Kingsbridge Estuary, a ria that encompasses the sea 6 miles south of the town. It is the 3rd largest negotiation in the South Hams as well as is 32 miles (51 kilometres) south-southwest of Exeter. The community developed around a bridge which was integrated in or before the 10th century between the imperial estates of Alvington, to the west, as well as Chillington, to the eastern, therefore offering it the name of Kyngysbrygge ("King's bridge"). In 1219 the Abbot of Buckfast was approved the right to hold a market there, and by 1238 the negotiation had actually become a district. The estate stayed in possession of the abbot until the Dissolution of the Monasteries, when it was provided to Sir William Petre. Kingsbridge was never represented in Parliament or integrated by charter, the city government being by a portreeve. It lay within the numerous Stanborough.

    FAQs

How to tell which fence is yours?

If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.

Do I need to tell my neighbours if I’m going to replace my fence?

It’s a good idea to talk to your neighbours before you start any work to avoid confusion along the way. But if the fence is definitely your responsibility and on your property, there’s no legal obligation to notify them. It’s also a myth that you need to erect a fence with the flush side without posts facing your neighbour’s property.

What is the cheapest fence to install?

The cheapest fence to install is, generally, a pressure-treated pine wooden fence at around £20 per linear foot. This includes the materials and labour costs. Wire fencing is technically cheaper at around £5 per foot, but it’s not a great material to use in homes as it looks unsightly and doesn’t provide any privacy.

Can I attach something to my neighbour’s fence?

There are a number of reasons why disputes can arise between neighbours – all of which can be quite frustrating and challenging. In some cases, this can even cause serious friction and lead to an all-out war. When it comes to the topic of fencing, one of the most common questions that arises is whether or not you can attach something to your neighbour’s fence. If you’re having the same concern, then you’ve come to the right place. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight into this to help you make informed decisions moving forward. Let’s take a look!

The short and simple answer to this question is no, you can’t attach anything to your neighbour’s fence. If your neighbour owns the fence and you’ve not obtained any permission to do so, then you’re not allowed to attach anything to the fence. Otherwise, you can get into serious trouble with your neighbour as well as the law. If you want to attach something or have the wall on your side painted using another colour, then there’s the need to get a permission from the owner. And while doing so, make sure you’re provided with a written permission so as to avoid problems later in the future.

Another question that mostly arises is what if your neighbour declines your request, is there anything you can do about it? Well, the answer to this is no, there’s nothing you can do about it unless you’re able to convince your neighbour otherwise. And you should know starting a neighbour war or being spiteful can only make matters worse for you.
