Composite Doors in Argyll

Would you like to upgrade your front door? There are lots of options available to you but none quite as popular as composite doorways. So why is this type of doorway the nation’s preferred and why would you consider this for your own house?

There are several reasons to pick out a composite door. First of all they look fantastic and there's a wide variety of choice in the style and design to choose from. If you desire a modern overall appeal then you can get exactly that, with contemporary designs to go together with the times. But if you prefer the attractiveness of traditional front doors, then there are Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian designs to pick from.

On top of this you'll be able to pick a colour that perfectly suits your house. Whether you choose a classic white or black front door, or might prefer the bold red, blue or green, the final decision is up to you.

But why not consider the composite door’s other features? Along with a strong look and feel, you take advantage of excellent insulation and a durable, resistant installation. The construction of the door makes certain heat is unable to pass thorough and exit your property, reducing your expensive energy bills.

Composite doorways are constructed to withstand impacts and the weather too, lasting for decades with essentially no upkeep. A GRP (Glass reinforced plastic) skin helps to protect the front door making certain it continues to look great for a long time to come.

• Lever or Lever Lock

If you want an unhindered access in and out of your property, a lever lock gives you this opportunity without the need for a key until it’s totally deadlocked. The lever lock is installed to the back door which makes unauthorized entry even less likely.

• Slam Lock

This lock is wholly key operated and totally handle-free. Immediately the door is closed, the latch bolt will be automatically activated, ensuring that a key would be needed to gain access back inside.

Can you paint composite doors?

Composite doors have coloured skins rather than a coloured coating on their surface. This means that their colour is long-lasting and they don’t need repainting. If you want to change the colour of your composite door it’s best to ask the manufacturer about the best way to do this. This is because different composite doors are finished in different ways.
