Alcester
Alcester is a market community and civil church of Roman beginning at the junction of the River Alne and also River Arrow in Warwickshire, England, approximately 8 miles (13 km) west of Stratford-upon-Avon, and also 8 miles southern of Redditch, near to the Worcestershire border. The 2011 census tape-recorded a population of 6,273. Today the town includes design from the Middle ages, Tudor, Georgian, Victorian and 20th century. The earliest home seems The Old Malthouse at the edge of Church Road and Malt Mill Lane, which probably dates from concerning 1500. The clock on St Nicholas Church (Quality 2 *) remains in an unusual placement on the south-west edge of the 14th-century tower, making it visible from the High Street. The church additionally houses the tomb of Fulke Greville, grandpa of Fulke Greville, 1st Baron Brooke. The church's Georgian nave with Doric columns as well as plastered ceiling is believed to have been made by Francis Smith of Warwick, supervisor of its reconstruct by Woodward bros of Chipping Camden in 1729.
