An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
Askam and also Ireleth is a civil parish near to Barrow-in-Furness in the area of Cumbria, in North West England. Historically part of Lancashire, it initially contained two different coastal towns with different beginnings and backgrounds which, in recent times, have merged to become one continuous settlement. The population of the civil parish taken at the 2011 Census was 3,632. Ireleth has its beginnings as a mediaeval farming town gathered on the hill forgeting the flat sands of the Duddon Tidewater. Askam was developed complying with the exploration of big amounts of iron ore near the town in the middle of the 18th century. Both originally fell within the borders of the Hundred of Lonsdale 'north of the sands' in the historical county of Lancashire, however following local government reforms in 1974 entered into the county of Cumbria, along with the remainder of Furness. The nearby River Duddon tidewater as well as bordering countryside have made the location popular for its wildlife, while the towns' revealed placement on the eastern bank encountering the Irish Sea have encouraged the establishment of wind energy generation, amidst local dispute.
