Borehamwood is an urban area within southern Hertfordshire, found 12 miles (19 km) from Charing Cross. It has a population of 31,065. It's within the civil parish of Elstree and Borehamwood and the London commuter belt. There's just one weekly newspaper, the Borehamwood and Elstree Times. The town could very well be renowned for its film and TV studios, also known as Elstree Film Studios, hence the association with Elstree.
