Front doors are a fundamental part of any house and as a result, require a wide variety of characteristics to be sure they're suitable. Hardwood doors are one option and really quite popular amongst property owners for a lot of reasons.
For a front door, you'll need exceptional security, weather resistance, durability and most importantly, amazing aesthetic appeal. And that's exactly what a hardwood front door gives you. They look great and you could even select from a variety of colours and wonderful styles to create a unique appeal for your household.
No matter your property, you could think about a Victorian, Edwardian contemporary or even country front door design. Then the colour could vary from a traditional black or white, to bolder red, green and blue.
Hardwood doors are preferred over the more affordable uPVC option simply because they're considerably more resistant and look superb. They can set you back a bit more, but the extra cost is worthwhile considering the fantastic benefits.
The common cost of Hardwood doors is £900. Costs fluctuate based upon the materials and the tradesman hired. The upper price range can be as high as £1035. The material costs are in general about £225

Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire. Because it is on the edge of the county boundary, with Cheshire towards the west and Staffordshire to the south, Buxton is often known as 'The Gateway to the Peak District National Park'. Traditionally a municipal borough, Buxton joined other locations in 1974 to establish the local government district and borough of High Peak in the county of Derbyshire. At 300 metres above sea level, Buxton is thought to be England's highest market town. This height means that the town is frequently cooler than nearby locations, with the daytime temperature approximately two degrees C lower than the temperature in Manchester. Situated on the River Wye and overlooked by Axe Edge Moor, Buxton is traditionally a spa town as a result of the geothermal spring that rises at a continuous temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. The water from the spring flows to St. Ann's Well through a pipe system which is situated opposite the Crescent close to the centre of Buxton. Buxton reached significant fame when the spa was recommended by Erasmus Darwin to Josiah Wedgwood in the latter half of the nineteenth century. The water from the geothermal spring is also bottled and sold internationally by Buxton Mineral Water Company. According to the 2011 Census, the population of the town is 22,000. The town has seen continuous growth since the coming of the railway in 1863. There is also a relatively significant student population, with the Devonshire Campus of the University of Derby being in 1 of Buxton's historic buildings. An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
