Landscaping in Nantwich

If you are considering any landscaping work for your house, be sure to use a specialist and compare and contrast as many as 4 free quotes from companies within Nantwich with our free online service.

Landscaping refers to the altering of land and features to make it more attractive. There are a number of areas of your house that can be landscaped, such as garden fencing, buildings and even structures.

There are three principle reasons for you to alter the landscape and these are increasing value to your home, increasing the attraction and for health benefits.

It may seem obvious, but keeping your garden and features in a good shape will very easily create a far better initial impact than letting it run wild. Poorly maintained grounds could even be sufficient to put off possible buyers in the foreseeable future.

The individual benefits are also excellent and just what better way to relax following a day at work than sitting in your well-kept garden in the summer time.

Nantwich is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Cheshire East and the county of Cheshire, England. It is found on the Cheshire Plain, on the banks of the River Weaver. The Shropshire Union Canal flows through to the west of the town on an embankment, transversing the A534 by using an iron aqueduct, with the basin being a common mooring for visitors to the town. The International Cheese Awards are completed in Nantwich as a part of Nantwich Show, which is an annual agricultural show held at the Dorfold Hall estate in July. The 83000 square foot marquee which contains the awards has actually had up to 4425 different cheese entries from a minimum of 26 countries. Another notable celebration incorporating food is the annual Nantwich Food Festival, which happens in the town centre over the first weekend in September. Regenerated as a free-entry fair in 2010, the festival draws numerous artisan producers from both the local area and further afield, and delivers chef presentations, family activities and entertainment. It brings in approximately 30000 visitors a year. The town is known for having the most extensive collection of historical buildings in the county. The majority of the listed structures can be located in the town centre, located within the 38 hectares (94 acres) of conservation area, which primarily follows the perimeters of the late medieval and early post-medieval town. FAQs

How much is it to landscape a garden?

How Much To Landscape A Garden?

Also known as a nation of gardeners, the UK is filled with individuals who take their outdoors seriously. As a result, it’s little surprise many people over here employ the services of expert landscape gardeners to help out with various tasks such as decking, building patios, ponds and reshaping their gardens to keep them in a top condition and make them a lot more useful. However, before you get started with your landscape gardening task, you’d like to figure out a estimate of the amount it’s going to cost. Let’s have a look!

Providing an accurate assessment of a generic landscape gardening project is almost impossible as gardens are all unique. A total refurbishment of a big garden will definitely run into thousands of pounds even before accounting for essential items like garden furnitures and planting. We’ll break them down to smaller elements of landscape gardening and give a rough estimate of the cost.

Firstly, a patio is an effective means of increasing your garden’s usability whose cost varies depending on the materials used. Generally, a patio will cost within the range of £70 to £90. This price may be higher in areas with greater demands like London.

A decking also serves the same purposes as a patio or paved area. However, it’s usually made of wood which delivers a much more natural feel perfect for the garden. The cost of decking varies largely depending on the wood incorporated. For instance, if you opt for a cheaper wood such as pine, the cost you can expect to pay would be within the range of 60 pounds to 80 pounds per square metre. However, for more quality and durable hardwood, you’ll have to pay about 200 pounds per square metre or more.

Do I need a gardener or landscaper?

Do I Need A Gardener Or Landscaper?

This is a question that’s often asked by most homeowners across the globe. While it’s true that both gardener and landscaper can make your garden a lot more beautiful and pleasing to the eye, it’s also crucial to know the significant difference between the two professions.

So who is a landscaper? We have two types of landscapers: the landscape architect whose job is to design a landscape and a landscape builder whose job is to do the physical requirements of creating a landscape. Both types are very interrelated such that landscape architects can also be landscape builders or have one or more of the other type in same team (as most landscaping building projects will be supervised by a landscape architect).

Now the main difference between a landscaper and a gardener is the type or scope of work they’re qualified to undertake. Generally, landscapers require just one or more types of trade licences to work, meanwhile a gardener may or may not need a trade licence. So who is a gardener?

It’s the job of a gardener to come in and maintain the landscape garden once the landscape has successfully built the outdoor area. In other words, it’s part of a gardener’s services to prune plants, mow the lawns, do the weeding, fertilize your soil and much more. It’s not their job to construct a large retaining wall or a gazebo. And you can also be sure they won’t appear with a backhoe ready to sculpt your landscape.

Overall, deciding who to choose between a gardener and a landscape depends on the type or scope of work that’s required. With the aforementioned differences, you should be able to easily determine who to call when in need of a landscaping or gardening service.

    How To Landscape A Garden

Are you thinking about landscaping your garden? Well, not only will this make your property more visually appealing, but can also go a long way to add value to it. Landscaping a garden can be a very difficult project which should be left to a reliable professional who can guarantee the best results the first time, especially if you lack proper training or experience in the field. This way, you get to save time and extra money that can result due to possible costly mistakes. However, if you’re confident enough about your skills, here’s a step by step guide to help you through the garden landscaping process.

    • Start from the front yard. This is the first place you’ll see when you get home and visitors will admire when they stop by.

    • Hardscape first. Tackle all the handscaping projects before setting out the plants. The hardscapes include the sidewalk, drive way, porch, decks, fencing and the likes.

    • Toil in the soil. When it’s time for the garden, you can start by amending your soil with organic matter before you set out the plants.

    • Plan next to your house. When it comes to landscaping a garden, functionality is just as important as the beauty. With that in mind, never allow your foundation planting to cover your house, but to embrace it.

    • Selecting the right plants. Study the landscape, observe when the sun rises and sets and determine the best plants for those conditions, you can consult with a local garden centre for more information.

    • Plant shapes and textures. You can include some design elements to your landscape simply by taking advantage of the plants’ shape and texture.

    • Finishing touches. These includes adding stuffs like containers, window boxes, hanging baskets both to add a little more functionality and a bit more colour to your landscape.

    • Maintenance. To enjoy your beautiful landscape for a longer period, it has to be maintained.

Landscape gardening is basically the art of setting out grounds or planting of ornamental plants so that a picturesque effect is created.
