Oswestry is a market town and civil parish in the English county of Shropshire, alongside the Welsh border. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a population of around 17105, increasing by 10 percent since the 2001 Census. As such, Oswestry is not only one of the UK's earliest border settlements but it is also the third largest town in Shropshire, coming after Telford and Shrewsbury. It is thought that one of the very first settlements in the region of Oswestry goes back to 3000 years, supported by the proof featured in the excellently kept Iron Age hill fort developed between 800 BC and AD 43. Growth began to occur after the town was awarded consent to hold a market every Wednesday in 1190. Because of the consistent influx of Welsh farmers at the market, a number of the town's citizens were bilingual. The market continued till an outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the late 1960s, causing the animal market to be transferred from the town centre. A statue of a shepherd and sheep can now be seen in the market square as a memorial to the market site's long history. Kinokulture, a cinema operating in a refurbished church, shows a frequent number of movies and live performances throughout the week and it also offers a Saturday morning Kids' Club. The town also has a national reputation for its high number of pubs. There are roughly 30 in the town, and several serve real ale. The town's Guildhall shows a tapestry of 40 Oswestry pub signs, and a story featuring all the bars' names can be located inside The Oak Inn. For all of your home upgrades, make certain to make use of reputable contractors in Oswestry to make certain of quality.

What’s LPG?

LPG stands for liquid petroleum gas. It’s a by-product of refined crude oil. When it’s put under pressure, LPG turns into a liquid. It’s usually stored in this form. LPG is used as fuel for things like BBQs and camping stoves, as well as central heating.

How do I get fuel for my LPG boiler?

If you choose to install an LPG boiler, you’ll need to find an LPG supplier. They’ll deliver fuel to you every time your storage tank runs low. You can even rent a storage tank from them if you don’t want to buy one. Make sure you know who your local suppliers are and where they are based.

How do I know when I need more fuel delivering for my LPG boiler?

Your LPG storage tank should have a gauge that shows you how much fuel it has in it. Most LPG suppliers suggest that you arrange a fuel delivery when the level in your tank gets down to about 20%. Make regular checks, particularly in the winter when you will use more, so you know when levels are low.

Where can I put an LPG storage tank?

Your LPG storage tank will need to go outside your property, possibly underground if you have limited space. There are planning rules that restrict where you can put your tank, especially if your property is listed or on designated land. Take a look at our planning permission article to find out more.
