Barton-upon-Humber or Barton is a town and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. As outlined by the 2011 Census, the town features a resident population of around 11066 people. The importance of the human remains is in the way they represent the pathology of an isolated group over the period of time around 950 and 1850. An excavation report on one of England's most extensively investigated parish churches, including a volume on the human remains, was published in 2007.
