Aboyne
Aboyne is a village on the edge of the Highlands in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on the River Dee, around 26 miles (42 km) west of Aberdeen. It has a swimming pool at Aboyne Academy, all-weather tennis courts, a bowling green and also is residence to the earliest 18 hole Fairway on Royal Deeside. Aboyne Castle as well as the Loch of Aboyne neighbor. Aboyne has numerous organisations, including a supermarket (Co-op), one financial institution, numerous stylists, a butcher, a newsagent, an Indian restaurant as well as a post office. Initially, there was a train station in the village, however it was closed on 18 June 1966. The station now has some shops and also the passage running under the town is now house to a firearms club.
