Lynton

Lynton is a town on the Exmoor coast in Devon, England, standing on top of the cliffs over the beautiful harbour village of Lynmouth, to which it is linked by the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway. Lynton was once the terminus for the narrow-gauge Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, which served both towns. The two areas are governed at regional level by Lynton and Lynmouth Town Council. The South West Coast Path and Tarka Trail go through, and the Two Moors Way runs from Ivybridge in South Devon to Lynmouth; the Samaritans Way South West ranges from Bristol to Lynton and the Coleridge Way from Nether Stowey to Lynmouth. Half a mile to the west are the magnificent Valley of Rocks and Wringcliff Bay. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 1157 people. Proof of Iron Age activity can be discovered at the close-by Roborough Castle. In Lynton nowadays is the Parish Church of St. Mary, which stands looking out on the sea, surrounded by shops and hotels. The tower is primarily 13th century but the church itself has been enlarged and re-structured, most noticeably in 1741, when the nave was reconstructed, and later on in Victorian times. Much of the town's buildings were installed in the latter part of the 19th century and the early 20th century. The town hall was provided to the town by Sir George Newnes, Bart., a huge benefactor of the town, and it was opened on 15 August 1900. He also bestowed the town the Congregational church on Lee Roadway. For all your home enhancements, be sure to identify trustworthy specialists in Lynton to make certain of quality.

FAQs

How to service a boiler?

During a boiler service, your boiler engineer will perform a series of checks to ensure that your boiler is safe and efficient. First, they will conduct a visual inspection to check for any corrosion or leaks. They will also check the flame in your boiler. They’ll then remove the boiler casing and check all the components, including the heat exchanger, burner and spark probe, then clean the inside. After this, they’ll check the flue for obstructions and ensure that it’s safely fitted. They will then do a gas pressure check to ensure the boiler is working at the right pressure, before firing it up to check for any working faults.

Can I repair my own boiler?

No. You must never repair your own boiler – only a Gas Safe-registered engineer can do any work on your boiler. You can do simple DIY tasks to repressurise your boiler or stop a leak, but if you have to remove the outer casing of the boiler or touch the flue then you must get a qualified boiler engineer to take a look at your central heating system.
